Court Tomb

We could just about see the stones sticking up above the long grass as we approached this tomb. There was an air of disappointment at first, but as I walked around the remains of the chamber more stones started to reveal themselves. I trampled the long grass down around the side stones of the chamber. They were huge. There is quite a bit of the gallery remaining, a visit in the winter months might reveal more. Another reason for the stones appearing small besides the long grass, is the fact that the tomb is lying in a slight hollow, which is unusual for any form of megalithic tomb. Worth a visit if you are in the area
