Portal Tomb

I have visited this portal tomb several times in the past and left feeling very disappointed. The monument has been covered in brambles for years. I recently read an article in a local paper stating that the tomb had been damaged during ploughing. WOW! I had a great surprise, the brambles have been cleared and to be honest the tomb has not changed much since Du Noyer's 1861 watercolour. The tomb consists of two portal stones and inward leaning backstone, a large displaced capstone, and a possible doorstone, lying down between the two portal stones. I hope to call back in the autumn.

Situated: On a slope overlooking Potters River. From Jack White's on the N11 head east for Brittas Bay. After 1.4k turn left at the crossroads. Drive 2 kilometres, as you descend the hill you will see the field gate between 2 houses on your right.
